My first attempt at nighttime street photography took me through an unfamiliar part of the city that, admittedly, wasn’t exactly winning any awards for making me feel safe (lol).
The uncertainty became part of the experience, though dark streets, harsh lights with dramatic long exposures, deep shadows, and that constant feeling of not quite knowing what was around the next corner. A little unnerving in the moment, but I’m genuinely happy with how the images turned out.
My first night shoot ended up capturing exactly the mysterious, uneasy atmosphere I felt while walking through it.
